Current PhD Students

• Joseph Shuttleworth is a PhD student on the Maths and Stats for Modelling and Prediction (MaP) doctoral training programme at the University of Nottingham working with me, Gary Mirams and Simon Preston in Nottingham on optimising experiments for building ion channel models.

• Hui Jia Farm is a PhD student at the University of Oxford working with me, Michael Clerx in Nottingham, Fergus Cooper, David Gavaghan in Oxford, and Hoffmann-La Roche Safety Pharmacology group in Basel, Switzerland to examine drug binding effects to ion channels.

• Yuan Zhen is a PhD student the University of Macau.

• Kirby Hou Him Chan is a PhD student at the University of Macau. He completed MSc in Data Science in Precision Medicine with me in 2022-2023.

• Jintai Du is a PhD student at the University of Macau working with me and Qiang Chen. He completed MSc in Data Science in Precision Medicine with me in 2022-2023.

• Liu Jiacheng is a joint PhD student at the University of Macau and SIAT working with me and Xuefei Li.

Current Research Assistants

• Leandro Acosta is an RA at the University of Macau working with me on developing the front end of virtual patch clamp (coming up soon).

• Jingkai Zeng is an RA at the University of Macau. He completed MSc in Data Science in Precision Medicine with me in 2022-2023.

• Chen Yanzhen is an RA at the University of Macau, and he used to work on bioinformatics analysis with various omics data.

Past Members / Students

• Richard Creswell was a PhD student at the University of Oxford with the EPSRC Doctoral Prize working with me, Ben Lambert and David Gavaghan in Oxford on developing Bayesian methods for time series problems with applications including epidemiology. He then obtained his UKRI Fellowship at Oxford.

• Owen Hailong Chen was an RA at the University of Macau working with me on developing the back end of the virtual patch clamp.
